Homrest Aluminum Patio Furniture Set with Storage Coffee Table, Cushions & 2 Ottomans for Balcony, Garden

Do not purchase this item or anything from the Walmart app! This item arrived with several rusted pieces. ried to return to the store but was told I needed to go through the seller although the app states that this item can be returned to a store location. I then contacted the seller who had me send pictures of the rusted pieces. After reviewing the photos, they stated they would only provide a $40 refund so that I could purchase supplies to fix the rust and repaint. I refuse to do that for a new item I just purchased! I have gone through 7 Walmart customer service reps. I had three chat conversations through the app chat feature but then finally called the 1-800 number after the third chat representative stated they have done all they can and the seller will not accept the return so Walmart customer service will not discuss this matter further with me and promptly ended our chat. Now I have spoken with 4 individuals through the phone and in EACH conversation have been told “THEY will escalate the issue to the billing department and that department will send me a FEDEX label within 24 or up to 48 hours”. I wait 48 hours before i call back and state I have not been contacted and that is when I am told there is no record of the previous customer service agent escalating the issue. I finally asked for an alternative resolution in case billing doesn’t respond within 48 hours again because the when doesn’t actually escalate the issue as needed and was told if that occurs then my only recourse would be to pay for the return label myself which will be very costly as this shipped in three large furniture boxes (one of which arrived damaged and cannot be reused). I am now outside of the 30 day return window and even though I have been trying to send this back for over 3 weeks, may end up stuck with an $800 patio set that has clear evidence of rust on the arm rest and the structural support pieces underneath. I have included a couple of pictures for reference. This has been the worst experience! I will never purchase anything from Walmart.com again and am looking at additional actions I can take to report my interactions with Walmart as this should not be acceptable business practices.
